In today’s episode of The Stories That Sparkle, Shelley shares about a time in her late 30s when a confluence of major changes (including a serious health situation) hit her all at once and how, twenty years later, she chooses to keep it simple. Shelley is a survivor who has learned how to live every day. And I won’t lie, parts of this conversation were hard for me because they brought up some active sensitivities and vulnerabilities.

Which brings me to a brief content warning: This episode includes discussion of relationship/mental abuse and miscarriages. Please take care of yourself and, if needed, skip listening to this episode.

And, if you feel/felt unsafe for any reason in a relationship, please know that you are not alone. Below are some links to resources available to you for help. Of course, you can always reach out to me: hellarader@substack.com and I will do my very best to connect you with the help you want or need.

Please share and re-stack this post; rate, review & comment on this episode/the pod wherever you listen to podcasts; and help get the word out about this episode and the podcast in general. Shelley’s courage to share about her experiences inspires me and I want as many people as possible to hear her story.
