Windshield Time
Discoball Tour Docu-Series continues
During the third week of the Discoball Tour, I covered almost 1,400 miles (almost a third of the total mileage of the whole trip). The bulk of that (close to 1,000 miles) came together in two long drives—one from Santa Fe, NM to Denver, CO and the other from Denver, CO to Plattsmouth, NE (by way of Lincoln).
You can find all the content from the tour, including weekly writing poss from the road, podcast episodes released so far, and links to past episodes of the docu-series, here).
With each mile, more of the past flew off of me. The present moment, front and center, filled with excitement for the future felt exciting. With all that windshield time, I had lots of space to process my time in Santa Fe, connect some dots, and see the shifts in me across the trip so far.
Almost six months after I filmed this footage, working on it reminded me of myself and who I am at my core. This last week in particular, it has proved to be a catalyst for a much-needed overall creative and life reset (not overhaul).
Very grateful for the experience I had in real time, and for the takeaways I can gather from it now to help me inform what I want to do next, and, more importantly, how.
Here are the links to the episodes now up on YouTube.
