The Stories That Sparkle site is expanding!
To mix things up and better reflect my creative multi-tasking, I am adding more sections and different kinds of content.
“From the Vault”: Longer pieces, mostly background stories from my life or essays that cover topics like grappling with my body, starting over and grieving the loss of just about anything.
“Behind the Scenes”: Video content of what I get up to when I am at home and working as a one-woman audio/visual department.
“On the Road”: Video and audio of the people I meet and the places I visit on my travels around the country (or abroad).
To celebrate this big change, I will publish a piece of content every day this week—something that falls into each one of those content buckets to give you an idea of what you can expect moving forward.
But wait, there’s more!
In exchange for all this new content and in the spirit of being a fully self-supporting artist, I have turned on paid subscriptions. That means, starting next week, if you want to read or watch the pieces that I publish in “From the Vault,” “Behind the Scenes,” or “On the Road,” you will need a paid subscription. If you want to upgrade now, use this link hellarader.substack.com/pollinators and take advantage of the 20% discount I am offering on annual subscriptions (offer valid through 5/31/25).
Whether you are a subscriber or not, whether you choose to become a paid subscriber or opt to be a casual visitor, I am grateful for any time you take to engage with what I publish here. Thank you for the support and encouragement you give me in all the ways—seen and unseen.
Of course, you can also choose to remain or become a free subscriber. That way you will still receive my weekly Monday Missives (updates on my current events, what’s on my mind and in my heart, and a bit about what I listen to or read when I am not writing or recording), have access to the full catalog I have already published to the site, anything I post this week, and any other future free content and/or announcements I send out.
Finally, to keep the dialogue going (both ways), I invite you to comment on posts, send me an email, or share with someone else.
Because together, we can bring light into dark places.
This is the adventure of my lifetime—I invite you to come hang with me and find out what happens next!
